OPENWORK SCULPTURE - Wooden sculpted figure, with a very elongated cylindrical body and a wide rectangular opening at the front. The head, with geometric features and a prominent crest, displays accentuated eyes; a necklace of small beads around the neck. Short legs with block feet support the ensemble. Surface with dark patina, polished by use, revealing brownish tones at the edges. The refinement of the volumes and the hierarchical arrangement of the head suggest characteristics that may point to Central-West African productions.
