Bidspirit auction | HOLLOW FIGURE

HOLLOW FIGURE - Slender anthropomorphic figure, executed in wood with fibers and fabric, with a hollow body and filiform arms that follow the verticality of the piece. Small head with simplified features, prominent ears, and an upper ring-shaped appendage, finished at the bottom with an open fork. Surface with dark patina, irregular shine and areas of wear, preserving fiber ties and discreet textile elements on one arm. The hieratic composition values the interplay of solids and voids and the cadence of the elongated lines.
