Bidspirit auction | RECLINING FIGURE

RECLINING FIGURE - Sculpture in metal alloy representing a reclining human figure, with slender modeling and elongated limbs, resting on the forearm and with bent legs. The synthetic face and accessories on the neck and ankles define the silhouette, while a small animal climbs onto the belly, creating a dialogue of volumes. Irregular surface, with marked textures and a brown patina with ocher nuances and areas of wear. It shows characteristics that may refer to Dhokra productions from central India, due to the filiform profile, the emphasis on ornaments, and the textured treatment.
