SEATED FIGURE - Anthropomorphic figure in wood, with compact volumes, seated on a circular base, with bent and spread legs, hands resting on the knees. Oval head with slit eyes and a summary mouth, prominent breasts and fingers marked by grooves, giving it a contained and frontal presence. Darkened surface with irregular patina and areas polished by use. It shows characteristics that may refer to productions from West-Central Africa, namely the hieratic posture and the expressive simplification of the face and limbs.
