STATUETTE - Anthropomorphic wooden figure, carved standing in a frontal posture, with hands joined over the abdomen and powerfully voluminous legs. The elongated face, with half-closed eyes and a prominent mouth, is topped by an elaborate zigzag hairstyle; a small vertical support is observed at the back. Homogeneous surface, with a dark and lustrous patina, highlighting edges. Presents characteristics that may refer to Central African traditions, due to the serenity of the face, emphasis on the thighs, and the treatment of the hairstyle.
