Bidspirit auction | FEMININE FIGURE

FEMININE FIGURE - Anthropomorphic female figure in various materials, with a compact and frontal body, hands on hips, an elongated head with a crest, and massive feet. Densely incised-striated surface, with an irregular patina, handling wear, cracks, and small visible losses at the base. The volumetry of the breasts and abdomen, combined with the geometrization of the limbs, accentuates the piece's presence. It presents characteristics that may refer to Central African productions, possibly related to the Congo region, due to the linear scarifications, cranial crest, and static frontality.
