Bidspirit auction | STATUETTE

STATUETTE - Anthropomorphic figure in wood, with compact volumes, a prominent head with striated hair, half-closed eyes, and a mouth with incised teeth. The bent body projects the arms forward, with perforated cylindrical fists that may indicate the absence of small accessories. Surface with irregular brown patina, well-defined carving grooves, and old fissures that enhance its expression. It presents characteristics that may refer to Central African productions, due to the treatment of the head, mouth, and the collected posture.
