Bidspirit auction | MATERNITY

MATERNITY - Slender-bodied female figure, in metal alloy, represented standing with a child in her arms in a horizontal position, frontal gaze and restrained expression. Elongated features, almond-shaped eyes, discoid ears, and ringed neck; necklaces, possible scarification marks, and clothing details stand out. Surface with dark patina and polished nuances, which accentuate volumes and textures. The composition may approach West African productions, due to the hieratic frontality and the theme of maternity.
