Bidspirit auction | ELONGATED FIGURE

ELONGATED FIGURE - Anthropomorphic wooden figure, with elongated proportions, with a head crowned by a faceted disc and an angular face with half-closed eyes. From the chin descends a helical element that runs along the torso, while the arms, juxtaposed to the body, display zigzag geometric incisions. The surface reveals a dry patina in ocher tones, with signs of wear and small fissures. A piece that presents characteristics that may refer to West African sculptural traditions.
