Bidspirit auction | SCULPTED FACE

SCULPTED FACE - Stylized terracotta face, oval in shape, with a heart-shaped facial area highlighted by the contrast between off-white and dark brown, showing a use patina. Features reduced to slit eyes, a pointed nose, and an incised mouth; a small protruding button in the center of the forehead. In the upper part, a striated area suggesting a hairstyle or headdress. A piece with characteristics that may refer to Central African typologies, due to its elongated physiognomy, narrow eyes, and lightened surface.
