HEAD - Sculptural head in metallic alloy, full volume and frontal expression, with protruding eyes, marked mouth and neck encircled by a high annular collar on a circular base. The headdress rises in a stepped crowning, with a dotted surface and lateral relief cords. Grayish-brown patina, with nuances of wear that accentuate the modeling and details. The piece exhibits characteristics that may refer to traditions of the ancient Kingdom of Benin (Edo), such as the segmented collar, the bead net of the helmet, and the vertical crowning.
