KAZAK RUG - Magnificent Caucasian rug, hand-woven in pure wool (circa 1950–1970), with official dimensions of 204 × 123 cm (2.51 m²) and in absolutely immaculate condition, with uniform wool, vibrant colors, and intact fringes. Hailing from the renowned Caucasus region, this example masterfully illustrates the geometric graphics and symbolism of Kazak nomadic weaving, featuring a reddish central field with two imposing staggered hexagonal medallions in navy blue. The major differentiating element of this lot is the extremely rare joint presence of its original customs inventory label and the double original tin customs seal on the side selvage, undeniably guaranteeing the authenticity of its prestigious origin.
