WWI: British Field Message Book Journal - Written by H.H. Jenison, first entry is December 20th, 1914. Discusses daily life of a soldier as he marched from France to Belgium. Includes references to sniper fire, trench conditions, being shelled, and death from enemy fire while entrenched aswell as some unattached notes, and a note with photograph attached assumed to be from his sweetheart Nell. Last entry is January 24th, 1915. Hard cloth covers, black straps to hold it closed. Approx. 4-3/4” x 6-1/2”. Good condition with typical wear including some staining and overall wear.
