WW2: German Lion Head Sword 1935-1942 - WK & C blade measures 31-3/4”, overall length 37”, with a 3/4” width at the ricasso. Plain polished steel blade is unetched and marked with the knight's head logo of W.K.&C. (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie., Solingen). Brass hilt features a lion-heapommel with red glass eyes, a black celluloid grip with twisted wire wrap. Crossguard is decorated with an eagle clutching a swastika in a wreath. Includes steel scabbard with single suspension ring. Produced circa 1935-1942 for German Army officers during the Third Reich era, this example represents a regulation dress saber carried during formal duties.
