WW2: German Army Officer's Sword - WW2 German Army Officer's Sword likely produced circa 1938-1945 by Richard A. Herder, Solingen, based on the ricasso mark and casting style. A regulation German Heer officer's sword from the WWII era, with a brass hilt bearing the raised national eagle and swastika on the guard. Curved, unplated blade measures approx. 33-1/4”, 38-1/4” overall, with a blade width of 3/4”. The grip is black celluloid bound with wire, and pinned through with brass langets bearing oak leaf relief. Includes blacsteel scabbard with single hanger ring.
