Bidspirit auction | CHARLES MANSON Letter To Ansom
CHARLES MANSON Letter To Ansom 13 - An odd letter, even for Manson. Envelope addressed to Wild Bill McGill, letter asks Wild Bill to mail the letter to ”Ansom”, saying ”I got no envelopes”. The letter is written to Lori Lynn Marsdesich, known as Ansom 13. Ansom married Thomas Walleman, known in the Family as TJ the Terrible. TJ was present when Manson murdered Bernard ”Lotsapoppa” Crowe. Originally TJ was meant to kill Crowe but couldn't, forcing Manson to kill him instead. Later TJ's testimony would link the gun used in the Tate Labianca murders to Manson and show that Manson was indeed capable of pulling the trigger. Photos document Ansom visiting Manson in jail and the address McGill is asked to mail the letter to is also written in a documented scrapbook which belonged to Ansom and TJ, and in her handwriting. The letter is rambling but legible by Manson standards, and is closed with smiley face and signature. Envelope is stamped in red with Manson's return address at the prison, postmarked April 25, 1995. Envelope approx. 7-1/4” x 5-1/8”, letter 8-1/2” x 11”. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping. Condition Good condition overall.
