Group of 17C Salvator Rosa Figurine Etchings - Four early etchings from the Figurine series by Old Master artist Salvator Rosa (Italian, 1615-1673), depicting single and multi-figure studies, including peasants and soldiers. Each impression shows a clear plate mark and is printed on laid paper with visible foolscap watermarks. Plates include numbers consistent with the series. As with many of Rosa's early etchings, these were not monogrammed in the plate. Late 17th century impressions, possibly lifetime or early posthumous, based on the foolscap watermark and strong plate impressions. Impressions measure approximately 4 1/16” x 7 1/8”. Sheets are about 11” x 7-1/2”. This item can be shipped in-house. Multiple lot combined shipping may require 3rd Party shipping. Condition See images. Sheets exhibit toning and edge wear consistent with prior binding.
