This second edition was issued in order to expand the song repertoire in comparison with the first edition and is substantially revised and enlarged, comprising 184 pages, with musical editing by Leo Kopf. Illustrations by Joseph Budko. The book includes songs in German, Hebrew, and Yiddish, with distinct sections dedicated to Hebrew songs and Yiddish songs, as indicated in the table of contents—clear evidence of the expansion of Jewish national content in this edition.
