A Pair of Old Tupton Ware Hand Painted Tube Lined Floral Vases - A pair of earthenware vases produced by Old Tupton Ware, featuring hand-painted and tube-lined decoration in an Art Deco style. The decorative scheme consists of stylized large red flowers, similar to poppies, set within a landscape featuring black-outlined trees, a small red-roofed cottage, and yellow accents on a cream-colored ground. The set includes one tall, slender bud vase with a narrow neck and flared rim, and one shorter ovoid-shaped vase with a wide body and flared rim. The interiors and bases are finished with a dark glaze. The base of the ovoid vase bears a black printed backstamp depicting a crown above the cursive text Old Tupton Ware and Hand Painted.
