Victorian Jackfield Style Hand Painted Black Glazed Teapot - This teapot is crafted from earthenware with a lustrous black glaze in the Jackfield style. The vessel features a squat, lobed body resting on a scalloped pedestal foot. The exterior is decorated with hand-painted floral motifs, including large orange-red blossoms and green leaves. Sponge-applied gold-tone gilding accents the handle, spout, base, and rims. The fitted lid is topped with a textured finial molded in the form of a branch. The underside of the teapot displays hand-painted characters in turquoise pigment, featuring the number 1803 positioned above the letter Y. Three distinct circular stilt marks from the kiln firing process are visible on the base.
