Israel 1948, besieged Jerusalem. Civilian mail airborne by military mail. A very rare envelope that was sent from Jerusalem by the Harpaz family in Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. Since the two family members also served in key positions in the People's Guard, they were able to send the envelope via the airborne military mail as can be seen in the stamp of the ”M.K./J.M.” (Signal Center/Jerusalem) . Attached is the mother's People's Guard certificate. This is one of the rare envelopes that there are from Jerusalem (there are apparently less than five civilian envelopes that were sent in this way) - The Scans are a Part of the Item description General Tags: Minhelet Haam , stamp , stamps , Raphael , Israel
