Title page: ” Chaval al de'avdin vela mishtakchin. This is the Shulchan Aruch that belonged to my master and father ... who was surrounded by his chiddushim  like olive saplings. He appointed one of his students to bind them into a volume and the artist was careless and cut all the sheets.  I was forced to copy from the Even Ha'ezer  which contained a bit of what my father wrote in his old age.” A sheet of paper is pasted to the opposite side of the title page, wherein the printer writes about corrections of mistakes appearing in the title page and introduction. ”The title page and approbations and introduction are being printed in haste and it was impossible to supervise...” Worn antique binding with the front cover detached. The book is falling apart. A few foxing stains. Condition: Good. ספר יסוד! [8] ס”ח דף; 21.5 ס”מ. הסכמות חשובות. לאחר ההסכמות רשימת ”חתומים” כ - 7 עמ'; הספר יו”ל ע”י בנו רבי ישראל הלוי לנדא שהעתיק את גיליונות שו”ע של אביו, את חידושיו בפלפול קרא בשם ”דגול מרבבה” ותיקוני הטעות קרא ”שלחן הטהור”. בשער הספר: ”חבל על דאבדין ולא משתכחין הוא הש”ע אשר הי' לאדוני אבי הגאון זצלל”הה מסובב כשתילי זיתים בחדושיו, ולקח אחד מתלמידיו ונתן אותו לעשות הכרך, והאומן לא השגיח וחתך כל הגליונות, והוכרחתי להעתיק מאבן העזר בו מעט אשר כתב אאמ”ו זצלל”הה לעת זקנותו”. מעבר השער מודבק פיסת נייר, בה כותב המדפיס על תיקוני טעויות שבשער ובהקדמה, ”רק השער והסכמות והקדמה נדפסים בחפזון והי' בלתי אפשרי להשגיח ...”. כריכה עתיקה בלויה וחלקה הקדמי מנותק. ספר מתפרק. מעט כתמי זמן. מצב טוב.
