Among the first books printed in Slavita. Tiferes Yisrael  by the Maharal of Prague. Printed by Harav Moshe Shapira, son of Harav Pinchas of Koritz. Slavita, 1793. Very rare! Tiferes Yisrael by the Maharal of Prague, Harav Yehudah Loew. ”Shemidaber niflaos Tamim De'im miToraseinu hakedoshah kemo shehi ateres tiferes le'am asher bachar lo lenachalah.”  This book is one of the first to be printed by Harav Moshe Shapira, Av Beis Din of Slavita and son of Harav Pinchas of Koritz. The Slavita press is held in very high esteem and is known to have been uniquely holy. The printing apparatus and the letters were immersed in a mikveh  before work was begun and merely owning these holy books is known to be a segulah  for the protection of a home and for success. On the opposite side of the title page   is the approbation of Harav Aryeh Leib Segal of Volochysk, a disciple of the saintly Maggid of Mezritch. Very rare! Slavita 1793. 96 pgs; 20 cm. Antique signatures. Throughout the book there are marks and a few corrections/brief glosses. Simple binding. Narrow margins. The upper margins on the title page are cut off. There are a few stains and very few tears and worming holes. Condition: Good. מהספרים הראשונים שנדפסו בסלאוויטא. 'תפארת ישראל' למהר”ל מפראג. דפוס הרה”ק רבי משה שפירא בן הרה”ק רבי פנחס מקאריץ. סלאוויטא, תקנ”ג 1793. נדיר ביותר! ספר 'תפארת ישראל' מרבינו המהר”ל מפראג - הגאון רבי יהודה ליווא. ”שמדבר נפלאות תמים דעים מתורתנו הקדושה כמו שהיא עטרת תפארת לעם אשר בחר לו לנחלה”. מערש דפוסי סלאוויטא. הספר שלפנינו הינו אחד הספרים הראשונים שעלו על מכבש הדפוס של הרה”ק רבי משה שפירא אב”ד סלאוויטא, בנו של הרה”ק רבי פנחס מקוריץ. הדפוס בסלאוויטא נחשב ביותר והייתה בו קדושה מיוחדת, כלי הדפוס והאותיות הוטבלו במקווה לפני המלאכה, ואף החזקת ספרים קדושים אלו ידועה כסגולה לשמירת הבית ולהצלחה. מעבר לדף השער הסכמתו של הרה”ק רבי אריה ליב סג”ל מוואלטשיסק תלמידו של הרה”ק המגיד ממעזריטש ומחותנו של רבי נחמן מברסלב נדיר ביותר! סלאוויטא, תקנ”ג 1793. צו דף; 20 ס”מ. חתימות עתיקות. לאורך הספר ישנם סימונים ומעט תיקונים/הגהות קצרות. כריכה פשוטה. שוליים צרות. בדף השער השוליים העליונות קצוצות. מעט כתמים ומעט מאוד קרעים ונקבי עש. מצב טוב.
