Chumashim printed by the holy press of Harav Shmuel Avraham Shapira of Slavita. 4 volumes. Rare Edition, Slavita 1827. Signatures of Harav Meir Yosef Gavriel Eliyahu, secretary and member of the beis din of Baghdad during the time of the Ben Ish Chai and Harav Elisha Dangur. Chumashim from the Chamishah Chumshei Torah, four volumes printed by the holy, distinguished printing press in Slavita by Harav Shmuel Avraham Shapira. Rare Edition , Slavita 1827. The National Library lacks all the volumes. A number of signatures of Harav Meir Yosef Gavriel Eliyahu , secretary of the beis din of Baghdad during the time of the Ben Ish Chai and Harav Elisha Dangur, and later a member of the beis din in Baghdad. Renowned as an outstanding Torah scholar proficient in all the beis din's customs. He passed away in 1929. There is an additional undeciphered signature and additional inscriptions. Specifications: Chumash Shemos with Megillas Esther and Targum Sheini. Comes to Pg 215 (toward the end of Targum Sheini). The last 7 pages are missing. 19 cm. Half-leather binding, somewhat worn. Some of the title page letters are in red ink . A number of pages are on bluish paper . Small tear with missing text on the last page. A number of transparent tapings. Some pages have the inner margins stuck together and on some pages there is a bit of damage to the text. General Condition: Good - Very Good. Chumash Vayikra with Shir Hashirim. Originally 150 pgs; in this copy, pgs 148-149 are missing . 20 cm. Half-leather binding, damaged and detached. Some of the title page letters are in red ink. A few pages are on bluish paper. The volume is slightly falling apart. Tapings on a few pages, mostly in the margins but in a few places on the text. A few stains and tears, and very little damage to the text. General Condition: Fair - Good. Chumash Bamidbar with Megillas Rus. 175 pgs; missing pages 5, 170-171 (3 other pgs are bound there). 19 cm. Slightly worn half-leather binding. Some of the title page letters are in red ink. A fewstains. The last page is damaged with tapings and tears. Pg 173 is torn and approximately half the page is missing. Pgs 98-99 have tears in the margins with slight damage to the text. A few additional solitary tears and tapings. General Condition: Good. Chumash Devarim with Megillas Eichah and Megillas Koheles. 176 pgs; complete copy. 19 cm. Slightly worn half-leather binding. Some of the title-page letters are in red ink. The margins on the first three pages cut slightly into the text. A few stains, on the final page with slight damage to the text. A number of pages are stuck together at the inner margins. Condition: Very Good. Slavita and Zhitomir books printed by the descendants of the saintly Slavita Rav and Harav Pinchas of Koritz had a special sanctity, as the press utensils and letters were immersed in a mikveh before the work began. Owning these holy books is known to be a segulah for the protection of one's home and for success.
