”I remembered you l'tovah on the first day of Rosh Hashanah during Kiddush, ” letter handwritten and signed by the Rebbe Harav Yechezkel of Ostrovtza. ”We need a yeshuah . May Hashem Yisbarach have mercy on us.”    Letter handwritten and signed by the saintly Rebbe Harav Yechezkel of Ostrovtza , which appears to have been penned during the month of Tishrei and mentions, at the end, the first day of Rosh Hashanah. 14.5/20.5 cm. 9 lines in his holy hand plus his holy signature. A few stains. Tears, mainly in the margins, in some places with damage to the text. Condition: Fair. Harav Yechezkel HaLevi of Ostrovtza [1887-1943] was a saintly man and a great genius. One of the great Rebbes of his generation. Son of the Rebbe Harav Yechiel Meir of Ostrovtza [the Rebbe who fasted for forty years] and son-in-law of Harav Naphtaly of Melitz. He founded Yeshivas Beis Meir in Poland. He served as Rav in a number of places and in 1928 took over his father's position in Ostrovtza. He was killed al kiddush Hashem during World War II on the tenth of Teves. May Hashem avenge his blood. Harav Yechiel Fishel HaKohen [1895-1980] was the son of Harav Avraham Moshe HaKohen. Already at a young age, he gained renown as a great genius and was dubbed ”the ilui of Lodz.” An outstanding disciple of Harav Yechiel Meir of Ostrovtza, he was exceptionally proficient in the halachos of issur and heter, which he studied with the Rebbe Harav Yechezkel of Ostrovtza. In appreciation, Harav Yechezkel assisted Harav Yechiel Fishel extensively with regard to his move to Eretz Yisrael. Upon his move, Harav Yechiel Fishel served as a member of the Chief Rabbinate in Tel Aviv and gained renown for his righteousness and diligence. For a number of years, he served as Av Beis Din. The book Mareh Kohen features his chiddushei Torah. Harav Shimon Cohen, author of Aseres Monim, is his son. ”זכרני אותך ביום ראשון דר”ה לטובה בשעת הקידוש”, מכתב בכתב יד קדשו וחתימתו של האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי יחזקאל מאוסטרובצא. ”צריכים אנחנו לישועה, השי”ת ירחם עלינו”. מכתב בעצם כתב יד קדשו וחתימתו של האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי יחזקאל מאוסטראווצא, שנכתב ככל הנראה בימי ירח האיתנים ומזכיר בסופו את יום ראשון דר”ה. 14.5/20.5 ס”מ. 9 שורות בכי”ק וחתימתו. מעט כתמים. קרעים בעיקר בשוליים וישנם מקומות עם פגיעות בטקסט. מצב בינוני. האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי יחזקאל הלוי מאוסטרובצא [תרמ”ז - תש”ג] קדוש עליון וגאון מופלג. מגדולי אדמו”רי דורו. בן האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי יחיאל מאיר [הרבי שצם ארבעים שנה], וחתן האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי נפתלי ממעליץ. הקים את ישיבות 'בית מאיר' בפולין. כיהן כרב במספר מקומות ומשנת תרפ”ח מילא את מקום אביו באוסטרובצא. נהרג על קידוש ה', במלחמת העולם השנייה בעשרה בטבת, הי”ד. המכתב נשלח להגאון רבי יחיאל פישל הכהן [תרנ”ה - תש”מ] בן רבי אברהם משה הכהן. כבר בצעירותו נודע כגאון עצום וכונה העילוי מלודז'. תלמיד מובהק של האדמו”ר הזקן הרה”ק רבי יחיאל מאיר מאוסטרובצה. היה בקי במיוחד בהלכות איסור והיתר ולמד עם האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי יחזקאל מאוסטרובצא, שהכיר לו תודה על כך ודאג לסייע לרבי יחיאל פישל רבות וגם בעניין העלייה לארץ הקודש. לאחר עלייתו לא”י היה חבר הרבנות הראשית בת”א ונודע בצדקותו ובהתמדתו ובמספר שנים כיהן כאב”ד. ספרו: 'מראה כהן'. בנו הוא הגאון רבי שמעון כהן בעל ה”עשרת מונים”. במכתב שלפנינו ניכרת הערצתו של האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי יחזקאל מאוסטרובצא הכותב לגאון רבי יחיאל פישל הכהן את המילים: זכרני אותך ביום ראשון דר”ה לטובה בשעת הקידוש וכו'.
