Maaseh Rokeach , signature of the hidden tzaddik Harav Yosef Shmuel Schwartz, regarding whom the Chasam Sofer testified that he was one of the 36 tzaddikim ofthe generation, adding, ”I am not one to exaggerate.” Several distinguished signatures. First printing printed in the lifetime of the saintly author. Venice 1742 Maaseh Rokeach on Rambam, Vol. I, by Harav Masoud Chai Rokeach, Rav of Tripoli and one of the geonim of Izmir. First printing and the volume printed in the author's lifetime. Venice 1742. [8] 286 pgs. 31.5 cm. Signature on the title page: ” Hak' Yosef Shmuel of Kitze” - the tzaddik nistar  Harav Yosef Shmuel Schwartz, regarding whom the Chasam Sofer testified that he was one of the 36 tzaddikim ofthe generation, adding, ”I am not one to exaggerate” ( Toras Yechezkel, pg 12 - 13). His grandson, Harav Akiva Yosef Schlesinger, dubbed him, ” Hatzaddik Bane'elam ” (a hidden tzaddik ). ( Bris Olam Acharon  in the introduction, and see there the story between Harv Yosef Shmuel and the Chasam Sofer regarding his birth. It is brought down in the book Hachasam Sofer Talmidav  pgs 212-213). He passed away in1851 (ibid pg 212 and the Pinkas Hamohel Chasam Sofer pg 217). The title page has the stamp of Harav Akiva Yosef Schlesinger, author of Lev Ha'ivri . The stamp is faded. The page preceding the title page: ”This book belongs to me Hak' Yechiel Hersh Ber Schlesinger, magen Hu lechol hachosim bo.” Apparently, it is the signature of Harav Yechiel Schlesinger of Pressburg (passed away: 1806), son of Harav Zvi Dov (Hersh Ber) Margulies, who was a dayan  in Pressburg in the beis din  of Maharam Barbi. (Apparently, he signed his own name along with that of his father [as some people had the custom] Harav Zvi Dov - Hersh Ber, and most likely he is Harav Yechiel Schlesinger, grandfather of the father of Harav Akiva Yosef Schlesinger.) On the title page: ”Belongs to me Yechiel Yehudah Schlesinger, ” and on the endpaper: Belongs to Rav Yechiel Yuda Schlesinger  - son of Harav David Zeide son of Harav Akiva Yosef Schlesinger, athor of Lev Ha'ivri. On the left side of the title page is a signature: ” Hak' Yaakov R”G [?]”  New binding (appears to be half-leather), somewhat worn. A few stains and very few worming holes. Slightly wavy pages. A few solitary tapings. Condition: Good. 'מעשה רקח', חתימת יד קדשו של הצדיק נסתר הגה”ק רבי יוסף שמואל שווארץ, שמרן החתם סופר העיד עליו שהוא אחד מהל”ו צדיקים שבדור והוסיף 'ואין דרכי לגזם'. מספר חתימות חשובות. דפוס ראשון שנדפס בחיי המחבר הקדוש. ויניציאה תק”ב 1742 ספר 'מעשה רקח' על הרמב”ם, ח”א, מהגה”ק רבי מסעוד חי רקח רבה של טריפולי ומגאוני איזמיר. מהדורה ראשונה והכרך שנדפס בחיי המחבר. ונציה תק”ב 1742. [8] רפו דף. 31.5 ס”מ. בדף השער חתימה: ”הק' יוסף שמואל מקיצע” - הוא הצדיק נסתר הגה”ק רבי יוסף שמואל שווארץ, שהגה”ק מרן החתם סופר העיד עליו שהוא אחד מהל”ו צדיקים שבדור והוסיף 'ואין דרכי לגזם' (תורת יחיאל, עמ' יב-יג). ונכדו הגאון רבי עקיבא יוסף שלזינגר מכנהו 'הצדיק בנעלם' (- כלומר, צדיק נסתר) (ברית עולם אחרון בהקדמה, וראה שם סיפור בין רבי יוסף שמואל והחתם סופר על לידתו, הובא בספר החתם סופר תלמידיו עמ' ריב-ריג) נפטר בשנת תרי”א (שם עמ' רי”ב ופנקס המוהל חתם סופר עמ' רי”ז). בדף השער חותמת הגאון רבי עקיבא יוסף שלזינגר בעל 'לב העברי'. החותמת דהויה. בדף שלפני השער: ”זה הספר שייך לי לשמי הק' יחיאל הרש בער שלעזינגער מגן הוא לכל החוסים בו” - כנראה הוא חתימת רבי יחיאל שלזינגר מפרשבורג (נפטר: תקס”ו), בנו של רבי צבי דוב (הרש בער) מרגליות שהיה דיין בפרשבורג בבית הדין של מהר”ם ברבי. (כנראה שחתם (כפי שהיו שנהגו) גם עם שם אביו רבי צבי דב – הרש בער, וככל הנראה הוא רבי יחיאל שלזינגר זקינו של אביו של רבי עקיבא יוסף שלזינגר). בדף השער: ”שייך לי יחיאל יהודא שלעזינגער”, ובפורזץ: ”שייך לר' יחיאל יודא שלעזינגער” - ב”ר דוד זיידא בן רבי עקיבא יוסף שלזינגר בעל לב העברי. בשער בצד שמאל, חתימה: ”הק' יעקב ר”ג[?]”. כריכה חדשה(נראית חצי עור) ומעט בלויה. מעט כתמים ומעט מאוד נקבי עש. דפים מעט גליים. מספר הדבקות בודדות. מצב טוב.
