Most of the collection is from 1910/47. 11 letters from a young woman named Henya (we were unable to find her surname), who worked at the Yehudah insurance company headed by Z. Jabotinsky. In one oft hese letters, she describes a meal the company employees had with Z. Jabotinsky, who offered her ” yerakim ” (vegetables). When she replied that she preferred ” yerakot, ” he told everyone that she had corrected his Hebrew and blamed one of the company directors for hardly ever speaking Hebrew, claiming that that was why he (Jabotinsky) was not absorbing the language fast enough. Another letter after the 1929 riots describes the nurder of her father in Russia 10 years earlier, when she was sill a child and didn't quite understand what was going on.
