A letter to his son, the eighth day of the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah 5697/1936 - ” B'yeshuah verachamim .” Regarding the esrogim , my brother shlit”a  [the Imrei Emes?] has written me...” Letter handwritten and signed by Harav Menachem Mendel Alter. Letter to his son, at the end of which he blesses him, ”Your father who seeks your benefit and blesses you and your wife and your son yichyeh with a gemar chasimah tovah .” Personal stationery. 21.5/14.5 cm. 8 handwritten lines plus his signature. Fold lines and two minor tears in the margins. Condition: Very Good. Harav Menachem Mendel Alter of Pabianice [1877-1942] was the youngest son of the Sfas Emes of Gur and the brother of the Imrei Emes. He was the son-in-law of the Chessed L'Avraham of Radomsk. He was among the tzaddikim  of Poland and Rav in Pabianice and Kalisch. He served as Chairman of Agudas Harabbanim in Poland and was a member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah. He established a yeshivah and headed it. He was killed al kiddush Hashem . May Hashem avenge his blood. ”הנך צריך להזהר מלכתוב המכתבים לשון מפורש .. כי הסכנה גדולה”. ”ע”ד האתרוגים כתב לי אחי שליט”א..”, מכתב מעניין בכי”ק וחתימתו הגה”ק רבי מנחם מענדיל אלטער מפאביאניץ, בנו הצעיר של הרה”ק ה'שפת אמת' מגור. מכתב לבנו, ח' דעשרת ימי תשובה תרצ”ז - ”בישועה ורחמים”. ”ע”ד האתרוגים כתב לי אחי שליט”א[ה'אמרי אמת'?]”, מכתב בכתב יד קדשו וחתימתו של הגה”ק רבי מנחם מענדל אלתר. מכתב לבנו ובסופו מברכו ”אביך הדושו”ט ומברך לך ולביתך ולבנך יחי' בגמח”ט[גמר חתימה טובה]”. נייר מכתבים אישי. 21.5/14.5 ס”מ. 8 שורות ארוכות בכי”ק וחתימתו. סימני קיפול ושני קרעים קלים בשוליים. מצב טוב מאוד. הגה”ק רבי מנחם מענדיל אלטר מפאביניץ [תרל”ז - תש”ב] בנו הצעיר של הרה”ק ה'שפת אמת' מגור, ואחיו של הרה”ק ה'אמרי אמת'. חתנו של הרה”ק ה'חסד לאברהם' מראדומסק. מצדיקי פולין ורבה של פאביניץ וקאליש. היה יו”ר אגודת הרבנים בפולין וחבר מועצת גדולי התורה. ייסד ישיבה ועמד בראשה. נהרג על קידוש ה', הי”ד.
