Charity box from ”Ohr Hachaim, ” the Jewish hospital in Istanbul, circa early 20th century Istanbul, circa early 20th century. Approximately 6/10/12 cm. The front of the box is curved and features an illustration of a nurse assisting a patient and some writing in English. On top is a slot for inserting coins as well as an opening with place for a lock so the box can be opened and closed. In the back is a hook so the box can be hung. Stains and abrasions.
