The book was proofread and prepared for print by the author's nephew, Harav Yehuda Zvi of Razdil, and his grandson, Harav Yosef HaKohen Rapaport. First Edition . Lemberg, 1834. [1] 32; 31-34 [1] pg; (the last page is marked ”40”. 23 cm. There is an antique inscription on the front flyleaf. ”Moshe...” There is a gloss  on one page. Antique half-leather binding, damaged. Very few stains. Tears in the margins of several pages. Worming hole in the margin. Condition: Very Good. Harav Zvi Hersh Eichenstein of Ziditshov  [1763-1831] was a great Chassidic  tzaddik  and Kabbalist. A master of both the open and hidden Torah, he was nicknamed ”Sar Beis Hazohar.” He was held in great esteem by the tzaddikim  of his times. The Divrei Chaim of Sanz said, ”In Galicia, when they say 'the Rebbe, ' without any further identifying information, they're referring to the author of the Ateres Zvi  from Ziditshov.” His nephew, Harav Yitzchak Eizik of Ziditshov, said that he once heard his uncle say that he was a talmid  of the G-dly Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. A different nephew, Harav Yitzchak Eizik of Komarna, wrote about him: ”His neshamah  is that of Harav Chaim Vital.” His works: Ateres Zvi , Beis Yisrael , Sur Mera Ve'aseh Tov - also known as Hakdamah Vederech L'eitz Hachaim , to which Harav Zvi Elimelech of Dinov, author of the Bnei Yissaschar (among others) wrote additions. דפוס ראשון. [1] לב; לא-לד [1] דף; (הדף האחרון מסומן מ'). 23 ס”מ. בדף הפורזץ חתימה עתיקה: ”משה ....”. הגהה באחד הדפים. כריכה חצי עור עתיקה פגועה. מעט מאוד כתמים. קרעים בשולי מספר דפים. נקב עש בשוליים. מצב טוב מאוד. האדמו”ר הרה”ק רבי צבי הירש אייכנשטיין מזידיטשוב [תקכ”ג - תקצ”א] מגדולי צדיקי החסידות והקבלה. גאון בנגלה ונסתר, וכונה 'שר בית הזהר'. נערץ על צדיקי דורו, והרה”ק ה'דברי חיים' מצאנז אמר: כשאומרים בגליציה סתם ”רבי”, מתכוונים לבעל ה'עטרת צבי' מזידיטשוב. אחיינו הרה”ק רבי יצחק אייזיק מזידיטשוב אמר כי שמע ממנו שהוא מתלמידי התנא האלוקי רשב”י, ואחיינו הרה”ק מוהרי”א מקומרנא כתב עליו 'נשמתו נשמת מהרח”ו'. ספריו: 'עטרת צבי', 'בית ישראל', 'סור מרע ועשה טוב' הנקרא גם ”הקדמה ודרך לעץ החיים” עליו נכתבו הוספות הרה”ק רבי צבי אלימלך מדינוב בעל ה'בני יששכר' ועוד.
