Complete set, ”Munich Shas” printed after the Holocaust by survivors. 19 volumes. Inscription by Harav Moshe Akiva Tikuchinsky, Mashgiach of Yeshivas Slabodka, to his son-in-law, Harav Nachman Plonchak, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka. 1949. Talmud Bavli - ”Munich Shas” printed immediately after the Holocaust by survivors in Germany. Complete set - 19 volumes. Munich - Heidelberg. 1949. Highly prized edition. Printed immediately after the Holocaust, during which countless Torah libraries were destroyed by the Nazis, yimach shemam . The Vaad HaRabbanim in the U.S. zone of occupied Germany, under the leadership of Harav Shmuel Abba Snieg and Harav Shmuel Yaakov Raz, undertook the sacred mission of reprinting holy books for the survivors. With the help of the U.S. army and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, makeshift printing presses were established in Munich and Heidelberg. The most monumental accomplishment of this effort was the printing of the Talmud. Initially, a single volume containing two tractates was produced. Then, in 1949, the entire Talmud Bavli was printed anew in a complete 19-volume set. This is a complete and handsome complete set of the esteemed edition. In this edition, there are two title pages at the beginning of every volume. Thie first is in color, with illustrations depicting a Jewish shtetl  and a labor camp surrounded by barbed wire, bearing the inscriptions: ” Mishibud l'geulah umi'afeilah l'ohr gadol ” and ” Kim'at kiluni va'aretz va'ani lo azavti pikudecha .” The second title page features an introduction by the rabbanim who published it. In the volume of Maseches Brachos, there is an inscription handwritten and signed by Harav Moshe Akiva Tikuchinsky , Mashgiach of Yeshivas Slabodka in Bnei Brak, and prior to that, Menahel Ruchani of Yeshivas Mekor Chaim in Jerusalem. The inscription is addressed to his son-in-law, Harav Nachman Plonchak , Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka in Bnei Brak. Adar 1958. 40 cm. Original bindings. The spines are reinforced with both binding glue and transparent tape. Light foxing and occasional abrasions on the bindings of some of the volumes. A few scattered tears, solitary tape repairs. A number of pages at the beginning of Maseches Shabbos are loose. General Condition: Good - Very Good. Harav Moshe Akiva Tikuchinsky [1910-1988] was the son of Harav Avraham Yitzchak Tikuchinsky. In 1925, he immigrated to Eretz Yisrael along with his father. A student of Yeshivas Knesses Yisrael in Chevron, he absorbed the mussar teachings of Slabodka and maintained a close relationship with the Alter of Slabodka. He later studied in Yeshivas Slabodka in Lithuania, under Harav Isaac Sher and Harav Avraham Grodzinski, his relative. With the outbreak of World War II, he returned to Eretz Yisrael and joined Beis Medrash Ohel Torah under Harav Shmuel Yitzchak Hilman. He co-founded Yeshivas Mekor Chaim along with his brother-in-law, Harav Baruch Yitzchak Levin. In 1947, he assumed the positions of Mashgiach and Menahel Ruchani of Yeshivas Slabodka in Bnei Brak, which had been established by a different brother-in-law, Harav Yitzchak Isaac Sher. סט שלם, ש”ס מינכן, שהודפס לאחר השואה ע”י אודים מוצלים מאש. 19 כרכים. הקדשת הגאון רבי משה עקיבא טיקוצ'ינסקי משגיח ישיבת סלבודקא לחתנו הגאון רבי נחמן פלונצ'ק ראש ישיבת סלבודקה. תש”ט 1949. תלמוד בבלי – ”ש”ס מינכן” שהודפס מיד לאחר השואה ע”י אודים מוצלים מאש בגרמניה. סט שלם – 19 כרכים. מינכן-היידעלבערג. תש”ט 1949. מהדורה זו נחשבת ביותר. נדפסה מיד לאחר השואה בזמן שספריות הקודש ואוצרות הספרים נבזזו ע”י הנאצים ימ”ש ואגודת הרבנים באיזור האמריקאי באשכנז בראשותם של רבי שמואל אבא סניעג ורבי שמואל יעקב ראז נטלו על עצמם עם הניצולים ובסיוע שלטון הצבא דארצות הברית והדזוינט בגרמניה להדפיס ספרי קודש בבתי דפוס מאולתרים, גולת הכותרת של ההדפסה הייתה הדפסת התלמוד, בתחילה נדפס כרך בודד של שני מסכתות ורק בשנת תש”ט 1949 נדפס התלמוד בבלי מחדש בשלימותו בתשעה עשר כרכים. לפנינו מהדורה חשובה זו בסט שלם נאה. במהדורה זו בתחילת כל כרך נדפסו שני שערים הראשון הוא שער צבעוני עם איורים של עיירה יהודית ושל מחנה עבודה מוקף גדרות תיל וכיתובים ”משעבוד לגאולה ומאפילה לאור גדול” ”כמעט כלוני בארץ ואני לא עזבתי פיקודיך”. מעבר לשער הקדמת הרבנים המו”לים. בפורזץ מסכת ברכות הקדשה בכתב ידו וחתימתו של הגאון רבי משה עקיבא טיקוצ'ינסקי משגיח ישיבת סלבודקא בבני ברק ולפנים מנהל הרוחני דישיבת מקור חיים בירושלים, לחתנו הגאון רבי נחמן פלונצ'ק ראש ישיבת סלבודקה בבני ברק. אדר תשי”ח. 40 ס”מ. כריכות מקוריות. על השדרות דבק לחיזוק(דבק כריכה ודבק שקוף). בחלק מהכרכים מעט כתמי זמן וכן מעט שפשופים בכריכות. מעט קרעים והדבקות בודדות. מספר דפים מנותקים בתחילת מסכת שבת. באופן כללי מצב טוב - טוב מאוד. הגאון רבי משה עקיבא טיקוצ'ינסקי [תר”ע - תשמ”ח] בן הגאון רבי אברהם יצחק טיקוצ'ינסקי. בשנת תרפ”ה עלה עם אביו לארץ הקודש. למד בישיבת כנסת ישראל בחברון, דבק בשיטה ודרך המוסר של סלובודקה והיה מקורב לסבא מסלובודקה. מאוחר יותר עבר לישיבת סלובודקה בליטא, שם למד אצל הגאונים רבי אייזיק שר ורבי אברהם גרודזינסקי שהיה קרוב משפחתו.
