Megillas Esther, ink on parchment manuscript, partially following the custom of the Chasam Sofer. Hungary, early 20th-century. 42 lines per column, Beis Yosef script except for the letter tzadi , which was written with an inverted right head, following the style of the Chasam Sofer as transmitted by his rebbi , Harav Nosson Adler. However, the  aseres bnei Haman  are written in enlarged letters over eleven lines in the traditional format rather than according to the Chasam Sofer's view, which calls for them to be written in regular size at the bottom of a column, as a continuous part of the scroll. Height: 35 cm. First column contains a tape repair with a word supplied over a tear with loss. Creases and stains. Tears in the margins. Condition: Fair. מגילת אסתר, כתב-יד דיו על קלף, חלקה כמנהג מרן החתם סופר. הונגריה, ראשית המאה ה - 20 מגילת אסתר, כתב-יד דיו על קלף, חלקה כמנהג מרן החתם סופר. הונגריה, ראשית המאה העשרים. 42 שורות בעמודה, כתב ב”י למעט האות צ' שנכתבה עם ראש ימני הפוך, וכשיטת החתם סופר ע”פ רבו רבי נתן אדלר. אמנם עשרת בני המן נכתבו באותיות מוגדלות באחת עשרה שורות כמנהג, ולא כשיטת החת”ס לכתוב אותם בגופן בגודל רגיל בתחתית עמוד כרצף עם כל המגילה. גובה: 35 ס”מ. בעמודה הראשונה הדבקה עם השלמת מילה על קרע עם חסר. קמטים וכתמים. קרעים בסביבות השוליים. מצב בינוני.
