Bidspirit auction | The Atzmos Yosef of Harav Akiva

The Atzmos Yosef of Harav Akiva Eiger, with an antique correction that is possibly in his own holy handwriting. Inscription, plus additional inscription signed by Harav Moshe Landsberg, a dayan in the beis din of Harav Akiva Eiger. Berlin, 1699. Sefer Atzmos Yosef – chiddushim and pilpulim on Maseches Kiddushin by Rabi Yosef ben Rabi Yitzchak ibn Ezra. The inner side of the front cover bears an antique inscription:  “Belongs to... Harav Hama'or Hagaon Hagadol Nezer Yisrael...Moreinu VeRabbeinu Akiva Eiger, neiro ya'ir ad bli yareiach .” Pg 91a features a two-word correction in an early handwriting – possibly that of our master Harav Akiva Eiger himself. The title page bears an inscription: “I purchased [this], with Hashem's help, from the estate of... Moreinu Harav Akiva Eiger, ztll”h , Av Beis Din... of the holy community of Posen.  Signed: Moshe Landsberger, Posen, Rosh Chodesh Shevat 1840.” Harav Moshe Landsberg (1801–1884) was one of the great dayanim of Posen, and a descendant of the author of Yesod Yosef . He studied under Rabbi Akiva Eiger, who later appointed him as dayan in his beis din . In the famous photograph of Rabbi Akiva Eiger on a street in Posen, published in Igros Sofrim , he is seen standing beside his revered teacher. Responsa by Rabbi Akiva Eiger addressed to him are extant, as is a notebook of  chiddushim , some of which were published as teachings he heard from Harav Akiva Eiger. Berlin, 1699. 108, 1 leaf; 21 cm. Stamp on the title page: “Gumpel HaLevi of Breslau.” Antique binding, detached in two parts and damaged. Stains and some tears. Overall Condition: Good. ה'עצמות יוסף' של רבינו רבי עקיבא איגר, עם תיקון עתיק שייתכן בעצם כתב יד קודשו. רישום, ורישום נוסף בחתימת הגאון רבי משה לאנדסבערג דיין בבית דינו של רבי עקיבא איגר. ברלין תנ”ט 1699 ספר 'עצמות יוסף' חידושים ופלפולים על מסכת קידושין מרבי יוסף בן רבי יצחק אבן עזרא. בצידה הפנימי של הכריכה הקדמית, רישום עתיק: ”שייך לאמו”ר הרב המאור הגאון הגדול נזר ונשיא ישראל פאר ראשנו עטרת תפארתנו רשכב”ה כקש”ת מורינו ורבינו עקיבא איגר נרו יאיר עד בלי ירח ”. בדף צ”א עמוד א', תיקון שני מילים בכ”י עתיק, ייתכן שזה בעצם כתב יד קודשו של רבינו הגאון רשכבה”ג מרן רבי עקיבא איגר. בדף השער רישום: ”קניתי בע”ה מן עזבונו של אדמ”ו ומחו' הגאון הגדול מו”ה עקיבא איגר זצלל”ה אב”ד ור”מ דק”ק פוזנא ובעה”ח משה לאנדסבערגר פוזנא ר”ח שבט ת”ר לפ”ק”   הגאון רבי משה לנדסברג [תקס”א – תרמ”ד] מגדולי דייני פוזנא, ומצאצאי בעל היסוד יוסף. למד תורה אצל מרן רבי עקיבא איגר עד שמינהו לדיין בבית דינו. בתמונה המפורסמת של מרן רבי עקיבא אייגר ברחוב בפוזנא שנדפסה באגרות סופרים הוא נראה לצד רבו. מצויות תשובות רע”א אליו ופנקס חידושים, ממנו נדפס דברים ששמע מרבי עקיבא איגר. בדף השער חותמת: ”גומפיל הלוי מברעסלא”. ברלין תנ”ט 1699. ק”ח, 1 דף; 21 ס”מ. כריכה עתיקה מנותקת לשניים ופגועה. כתמים ומעט קרעים. באופן כללי מצב טוב.
