The upper portion of the flyleaf features the holy autograph of the Rebbe Harav Yaakov Yechezkiyah Greenwald of Pupa, son of the author of Arugas HaBosem. Signature in pencil. Stamps of Harav Shlomo David Weider, shochet and bodek of the community of … Antique binding, worn and detached in two parts. Front flyleaf and several final leaves are detached. Age stains. Tears, mostly minor and in the margins. Overall Condition: Fair – Good. Harav Yaakov Yechezkiyah Greenwald, the Vayaged Yaakov, Av Beis Din of Tzehlem and Pupa (1882–1941), was the son and close disciple of Harav Moshe Greenwald, Av Beis Din of Chust and author of Arugas HaBosem . He was close to the Rebbes Harav Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam of Shinova, Harav Yissachar Dov Rokach of Belz, and the latter's son Harav Aharon of Belz. He served as Rav of the Likov  kehillah , and later as Rav of Tzehlem, where he established a distinguished yeshivah. From 1923, he served as Rav of the of Bánffyhunyad community, and in 1929, he was appointed Rav of the Pupa community. He was among the most distinguished Rabbanim of his generation, and his yeshivah attracted hundreds of students.
