Oil on canvas, artist Shlomo Bernstein, 1929. Dedication plaque. A large and striking depiction of Jews praying at the Western Wall. In the center, three men are visible: one, wearing a shtreimel, is resting his head and hand on the stones as he prays, while two others (one wearing a Yerushalmi/Hungarian-style hat, the other a rounded or kneitch hat) are holding prayer books. Behind them sits a Jew wearing a red fez, and to the left, a Jew in a red galabiya places his hands on his head in prayer. On the right, a woman in authentic Yerushalmi garb covers her face with her hand as she pours out her heart in prayer. The dedication plaque is from 1935, commemorating approximately 30 years of activity. Gift from the Swiss Committee for Eretz Israel to board member Rabbi Dr. Asher from Switzerland. Signed in English by artist Shlomo Bernstein . Near his name, he added the word “Jerusalem” (in English) 1929. Dimensions of panting without the frame: 70/ 60 cm. Including frame: 82/72 cm. Source : The great-grandson of the recipient of the painting, Harav Yechiel Michel Halevi Asher (descendant of Harav Avraham Uri Halevi Asher, son of Harav Shimon Halevi Asher). יהודים מתפללים בכותל המערבי, ציור גדול. שמן על בד, האמן שלמה ברנשטיין. 1929. עם לוחית הקדשה מתנת הועד השוויצרי למען ארץ ישראל לחבר ההנהלה הרב ד”ר אשר משווייץ. יהודים מתפללים בכותל המערבי. שמן על בד, האמן שלמה ברנשטיין, 1929. לוחית הקדשה. איור גדול ונאה של יהודים מעתירים בתפילה ליד הכותל המערבי, במרכז נראים שלושה יהודים אחד מהם כשהוא חבוש בשטריימל ומניח את ראשו וידו על אבני הכותל כשהוא נושא תפילה, שניים מהם אוחזים ספר תפילה ועל ראשם כובע(אחד נראה כובע סופר הירושלמי/הונגרי, והשני עגול או קנייטש). מאחוריהם יושב יהודי החובש כובע תרבוש אדום ומשמאל נראה יהודי הלבוש בכעין ג'לביה אדומה כשהוא מניח את ידיו על ראשו ומתפלל. בצד ימין יושבת אשה כשהיא לבושה בלבוש ירושלמי אוטנטי, מניחה את ידה על פניה ושופכת ליבה בתפילה. לוחית ההקדשה משנת תרצ”ה 1935, על כ - 30 שנות פעילות. מתנת הועד השוויצרי למען ארץ ישראל לחבר ההנהלה הרב ד”ר אשר משווייץ. חתימת האמן שלמה ברנשטיין באנגלית, ליד שמו הוסיף את המילה: ”ירושלים”(באנגלית) 1929. גודל הציור ללא המסגרת: 70/60 ס”מ. כולל המסגרת: 82/72 ס”מ. מסגרת עץ, בתחתית לוחית הקדשה. מעבר התמונה מערכת של חוטים ושרשרת לתליה. מקור: ניניו של מקבל התמונה הרב יחיאל מיכל הלוי אשר(בני רבי אברהם אורי הלוי אשר בן רבי שמעון הלוי אשר).
