Siddur of the Shelah Hakadosh, First Edition, Amsterdam 1717. Incomplete copy Siddu r  Sha'ar HaShamayim prayers and supplications, halachos, minhagim and hanhagos   b'derech HaPardes , by the Shelah Hakadosh, Harav Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz. The Shelah compiled this siddur upon his arrival in Eretz Yisrael. This is the only work he asked his sons to print after his passing. In his will, he writes, ”The reason I composed this holy work is so that it would be printed and disseminated among Jewish communities, and I would have a portion and a zechus  in all Jewish prayers.” Many tzaddikim  throughout the generations preferred to daven from this siddur. The Bach, in his approbation appearing in this copy, wrote, ”Whoever davens in this siddur, his prayer does not go unanswered.” The siddur includes the will of the author, the Shelah Hakadosh, as well as approbations from Gedolei Yisrael, including the author of the Tosafos Yom Tov;  Harav Yaakov Yehoshua, Av Beis Din of Krakow and author of Maginei Shlomo ; Harav Yaakov of Lublin; father of Rav Hershel of Cracow; Harav Naftali Katz, author of Semichas Chachamim . First and very important edition. Amsterdam 1717. This copy contains both title pages as well as the approbations, and the beginning of the siddur up to pg 175, as well as pgs 178-179 . The copy is complete at the beginning.  21.5 cm. Early inscriptions. Stamp of Rav Ben Zion Weber, son of the Rav of Ada. Bound at the end are Shabbos sections for seudah shelishis  in a small format, and prayers (similar to those found at the end of many Chumashim) in regular format. Antique binding, slightly worn. Adhesive repairs on the first title page and in a few other places. Stains, mostly age stains. Tears, mostly minor, but pgs 178-179 have tears with damage to and loss of text. Wormholes, mainly in the top portion of pages the pages, but there are some with damage to the text. Condition: Fair–Good. סידור השל”ה הקדוש, 'מהדורה ראשונה', אמשטרדם תע”ז 1717. עותק חסר סידור 'שער השמים' תפילות ותחינות, הלכות, מנהגים והנהגות בדרך הפרד”ס, מאת רבינו השל”ה הקדוש, הרה”ק רבי ישעיה הלוי הורוויץ. את סידור זה חיבר השל”ה בעת בואו לארץ הקודש וזהו חיבורו היחיד שביקש מבניו שידפיסוהו לאחר פטירתו. בצוואתו כתב ”....עלה במחשבתי לחבר חיבור הקודש הזה כדי שיהיה נדפס שיתפשט בתפוצות ישראל כדי שיהיה לי חלק וזכות בכל תפלות ישראל”. רבים מצדיקי הדורות חפצו לקבוע תפילתם מתוך סידור קדוש זה, ורבינו הב”ח בהסכמתו המופיעה בסידור שלפנינו כתב ”כל מי שמתפלל בתוכו שאין תפלתו חוזרת ריקם”. בסידור מובאת צוואתו של המחבר רבינו השל”ה הק' וכן הסכמותיהם של גדולי ישראל, בהם: רבינו בעל תוספות יום טוב, רבינו יעקב יהושע אב”ד קראקא בעל ה'מגיני שלמה', רבינו יעקב מלובלין אביו של הרבי רבי העשיל מקראקא, רבינו נפתלי כץ בעל ה'סמיכת חכמים'. דפוס ראשון וחשוב ביותר. אמשטרדם תע”ז 1717. בעותק שלפנינו יש את שני השערים וההסכמות, ואת תחילת הסידור עד דף קע”ה ואת דפים קע”ח - קע”ט. העותק אינו חסר בתחילתו. 21.5 ס”מ. רישומים עתיקים. חותמת רבי בן ציון וועבר בן הרב מאדא. כרוך בסופו פרקי שבת לסעודה שלישית בפורמט קטן, ותפילות (כמו הנמצאים בסוף חומשים רבים), בפורמט רגיל. כריכה עתיקה מעט בלויה. הדבקות בדף שער ראשון ובמעט מקומות נוספים. כתמים, בעיקר כתמי זמן. קרעים ברובם קלים, ובדפים קע”ח - קע”ט קרעים עם פגיעות וחסר בטקסט. נקבי עש בעיקר בחלקם העליון של הדפים וישנם גם עם פגיעות בטקסט. מצב בינוני - טוב.
