Long letter on Torah study regarding the second day of Yom Tov and Rosh Chodesh, a page and a third handwritten and signed by the Rebbe the Pnei Menachem of Gur. ”I will indulge a little in good Torah talk.” ”And I recalled that in my youth, when we studied Masechtas Beitzah in Yeshivas Sfas Emes twenty-eight years ago...” A lengthy and important letter handwritten and signed by the Rebbe Harav Pinchas Menachem Alter, the Pnei Menachem of Gur. The second day of Rosh Chodesh Adar, 5746. Nearly 40 handwritten lines, plus his signature and stamps (at the top and bottom of the page). 21/27.5 cm. Fold marks, tears at the bottom of the page. Condition: Very Good. The Rebbe Harav Pinchas Menachem of Gur [1926–1996] was the son of Harav Avraham Mordechai Alter, the Imrei Emes of Gur. At the outbreak of World War II, he fled with his father and brothers to Eretz Yisrael. He served as Rosh Yeshivas Sfas Emes and also led the Agudas Yisrael movement. After the passing of his brother, the Lev Simchah, he led the Gerrer Chassidus and was one of the foremost leaders of his generation. His shmuessen , delivered every Shabbat and Yom Tov, were published in his book Pnei Menachem on Torah and Moadim. מכתב ארוך בלימוד בעניין יו”ט שני ור”ח, עמוד ושליש בכי”ק וחתימתו של האדמו”ר הפני מנחם מגור. ”אשתעשע קצת בפטפוטי דאורייתא טבין”. ”ונזכרתי שבימי נעורי בלמדנו בישפ”א מס' ביצה לפני כ”ח שנים”. מכתב ארוך וחשוב בכתב יד קדשו וחתימתו של האדמו”ר רבי פינחס מנחם אלטר ה'פני מנחם' מגור. בדר”ח אד”ר תשמ”ו. קרוב ל - 40 שורות בכתב יד קדשו וחתימתו וחותמותיו(בראש הדף ובסופו). 21/27.5 ס”מ. סימני קיפול, קרעים בתחתית הדף. מצב טוב מאוד. האדמו”ר רבי פנחס מנחם מגור [תרפ”ו – תשנ”ו] בן האדמו”ר רבי אברהם מרדכי אלתר ה'אמרי אמת' מגור. בפרוץ מלחה”ע ברח עם אביו ואחיו לארץ הקודש. כיהן כראש ישיבת 'שפת אמת', וכן בראשות תנועת 'אגודת ישראל'. לאחר פטירת אחיו ה'לב שמחה' הנהיג את עדת חסידי גור והיה מגדולי מנהיגי הדור. מאמרי השמוס'ען אותם אמר מדי שבת חג ומועד נדפסו בספרו 'פני מנחם' עה”ת ומועדים.
