Extremely rare. “Protection for the Home, ” Mizrach sign, Jerusalem, 19th century. Printed Mizrach sign, featuring an amulet from the sefer Raziel Hamalach  and “protection for the home.” At the top are the words: “ Shemirah labayis , ” “Amulet tried [!] and tested from the Book of Raziel.” With holy Names and illustrations of sacred sites: “The Site of Our Holy Temple, ” Me'aras Hamachpeilah, Kever Rachel Imeinu and the grave of Zechariah ben Yehoyada HaKohen. Jerusalem, 19th century [circa 1870?]. Dimensions of sign without the frame: approx. 40/30 cm. Size including frame: 57.5/47 cm. Rare amulet, unlisted. Not listed in the National Library, the Union List of Israel, or Shoshana Halevi. Comes in a large, ornate frame. Stains and a bit of peeling, with damage to the text in a few places. The corner of the illustration of Kever Rachel has been photographically restored, and probably also the word “Jerusalem.” Condition: Fair - Good. יקר המציאות. 'שמירה לבית', לוח מזרח, ירושלים, המאה התשע עשרה לוח 'מזרח' מודפס, עם קמיע מספר רזיאל המלאך ושמירה לבית. בחלקו העליון כיתוב: 'שמירה לבית', 'קמיע בדוקה[!] ומנוסה מספר רזיאל'. עם שמות קדושים ואיורי מקומות הקדושים, 'מקום מקדשנו', מערת המכפלה, קבר רחל אמנו וקבר זכריהו בן יהוידע הכהן. ירושלים, המאה ה - 19[שנות ה'תר”ל? 1870?]. גודל הלוח ללא המסגרת: 40/30 בקירוב. גודל כולל המסגרת: 57.5/47 ס”מ. קמיע נדיר ולא רשום. לא נרשם בספריה הלאומית, לא בקטלוג המאוחד ולא בשושנה הלוי. נתון במסגרת מהודרת וגדולה. כתמים ומעט קילופים עם פגיעות בטקסט. הפינה של איור קבר רחל הושלמה בצילום, וכנראה גם המילה ”ירושלם”. מצב בינוני - טוב.
