A volume containing two important books: Rosh Amanah , containing the roots and fundamentals of faith, by Harav Yitzchak Abarbanel. Venice, 1545. 34 leaves; She'eilos Lehachacham KeHarav Shaul HaKohen Zlh”h, questions which he posed to Harav Yitzchak Abarbanel. First printing. Venice 1574. Incomplete copy, originally: 26, 31 leaves; our copy has only the first 26 leaves (the book was printed in two parts, with Part I ending at the bottom of pg 26a. 26b is blank). 21 cm. On the reverse of the last page of the book Rosh Amanah is an antique inscription: ”A souvenir gift given with love to my friend... Meir, son of... Bendet Segal Goldschmidt, of the holy community of Frankfurt am Main... from... Yitzchak Zekli, son of... Shimon Zekles z”l of the holy community of Aurich, may it be preserved by its Creator.” The title page of Rosh Amanah bears antique signatures: ” Hakatan Ya'akov, son of R' Zalman, z”l, ” ” Hakatan Yuzpa Schlüssel Barg.” Wooden binding covered in leather, slightly damaged and slightly detached. A number of worm holes and light tears at the margins. Stains, mostly light, and on one page with damage affecting several letters. Overall Condition: Good. 'ראש אמנה' מרבי יצחק אברבנאל - 'שאלות' להחכם רבי שאול הכהן, 'מהדורה ראשונה', ויניציאה ש”ה-של”ד 1545/1574. חתימות עתיקות. כריכת עץ מחופה עור. כרך שני ספרים חשובים,    ' ראש אמנה' בו שרשי וראשי האמונות, מרבי יצחק אברבנאל . ונציה, ש”ה 1545. ל”ד דף; 'שאלות להחכם כה”ר שאול הכהן זלה”ה' ששאל את החכם הכולל שר וגדול רבי יצחק אברבנאל. דפוס ראשון. ויניציאה של”ד 1574. עותק חלקי , במקור: כ”ו, ל”א דף; בעותק אצלנו רק כ”ו דף ראשונים(הספר נדפס כשני חלקים, בדף כ”ו עמוד א' למטה תם ונשלם ועמוד ב' חלק ללא הדפסה). 21 ס”מ.  מעבר עמוד אחרון בספר 'ראש אמנה', רישום עתיק : ”מנחה מזכרת באהבה לידידי הראש והנעלה הקצין והנגיד כ”ה מאיר בכ”ה בענדיט סג”ל גאלדשמידט לק”ק פראנקפוט אם מיין יע”א, מאת הצעיר יצחק זעקלי בכ”ה שמעון זעקלס ז”ל מק”ק אויריך יע”א”. בשער ראש אמנה, חתימות עתיקות : ”הקטן יעקב בן ר' זלמן ז”ל, ”הקטן יוזפא שליסל בארג”. כריכת עץ מחופה עור, מעט פגועה ומעט מנותקת. מספר נקבי עש וקרעים קלים בשוליים. כתמים בעיקר קלים ובאחד הדפים פגיעה במספר אותיות. באופן כללי מצב טוב.
