Indeed our sages have said that all levity is forbidden save for levity directed against idolatry... to condemn them and expose their error...” Milchemes Chovah , comprising a collection of polemical works against Christianity: Vikuach HaRamban in Barcelona against the apostate Friar Paul; Vikuach HaRadak (attributed to the Radak); Sefer HaBris by the Radak's father, Harav Yosef Kimchi, which serves as a guide for Jewish polemicists against Christianity (with parts apparently written by additional authors); and Setiras Emunas HaNotzrim (Refutation of the Christian Faith) by the Rashbatz . Appended at the end by the proofreader is the work Re'ashim U-re'amim , attributed to the Ari Hakadosh. On the verso of the title page is a lengthy introduction, including ”An Introduction to the book Sela HaMachlokos , composed by Harav Avraham Roman zlh”h .” First Edition . Constantinople 1710. The binding is detached in two pieces and damaged. Stains and minor worming damage, with very minimal damage to the text. A number of tears and adhesive repairs, mainly to the margins, in very few instances with damage to the text. The title page is detached along with the endpaper, and the last leaf is detached along with the back cover. Condition: Fair - Good.
