Hakdamas Vavei HaAmudim by Harav Sheftel, Son of the Shelah HaKadosh, First Edition, Amsterdam 1648. Incomplete Copy Vavei HaAmudim , a work concerning the three pillars upon which the world stands, by Harav Sheftel HaLevi Horowitz, Rav of Frankfurt, Vienna, and Posen, and son of the illustrious Harav Yeshayah HaLevi Horowitz, the Shelah HaKadosh. An important and significant work. Out of respect for his father, Harav Sheftel referred to the work as a “ hakdamah ” (Introduction) and had it printed at the end of his father’s Shnei Luchos HaBris (Shelah). First edition . Amsterdam 1648. Originally 44 leaves; this copy is lacking leaf 29 and the final three leaves (42–44). 29 cm. Sans binding. Stains and very few wormholes. Condition: Fair–Good. הקדמת ווי העמודים מרבי שעפטל בן השל”ה הקדוש, 'מהדורה ראשונה', אמשטרדם ת”ח 1648. עותק חסר ספר 'ווי העמודים' על שלשה עמודים שהעולם עומד עליהם, מהגה”ק רבי שעפטיל הלוי הורוויץ אב”ד פרנקפורט, ווינה, פוזנה, ובנו של הגה”ק רבינו ישעיה הלוי הורוויץ, השל”ה הק'. הספר הינו חיבור חשוב ביותר, אולם לכבוד אביו השל”ה הקדוש, קראו בשם ”הקדמה”, והדפיסו בסוף ספר אביו 'שני לוחות הברית'. דפוס ראשון . אמשטרדם ת”ח 1648. במקור מ”ד דף; בעותק זה חסר דף כ”ט ו - 3 דפים אחרונים(מ”ב - מ”ד). 29 ס”מ. ללא כריכה. כתמים ומעט מאוד נקבי עש. מצב בינוני - טוב.
