This RCBS 3-die set is chambered for .38 Special and is intended for use with a standard reloading press to manufacture or remanufacture ammunition. The set consists of a sizing and decapping die, an expander die, and a bullet seating and crimping die, all constructed from steel with knurled adjustment lock rings and standard 7/8 inch-14 threads. Verbatim markings on the factory label include RCBS INC., OROVILLE, CALIFORNIA 95965, Part Number 306, and Group B. Hand-written notations on the label further designate the caliber as 38 SPEC and 38 SPECIAL. Each individual die bears stamped markings identifying the manufacturer and caliber. Included within the original green plastic storage case is a small plastic bag containing an additional lock ring and a spare threaded component, likely a seating stem or decapping pin.

The dies are in good used condition, showing signs of wear including light surface oxidation on the steel bodies and some minor dings to the knurled adjustment rings from contact and use. The threads on all components appear to be in good, functional condition. The decapping pin is installed in the sizing die and appears to be in serviceable condition. The green plastic factory case is intact, though the paper identification label shows significant tearing, age-related discoloration, and has an orange price sticker attached to the side.
