A Large Salt-Glazed Stoneware Storage Crock, Marked 20 Gallon - A large cylindrical stoneware storage crock. The primary vessel is a 20-gallon capacity crock, indicated by a large hand-painted cobalt blue ”20” on the side, underscored by a cobalt dash. The exterior features a speckled gray/beige salt glaze. The interior is finished with a dark glaze, consistent with Albany Slip. The vessel is constructed with a rolled rim and includes two applied lug handles. Two horizontal incised lines encircle the body just below the rim.
