Antique Cast Iron Tea Kettle with Swivel Lid and Coiled Wire Handle - This antique tea kettle is of cast iron construction with a swivel-style lid and an integrated cast spout. The design features a flat base intended for use on wood-burning or coal stoves. The wire bail handle is attached to lugs on the shoulder of the kettle and features a coiled steel cold handle spring grip to dissipate heat. There are small incised characters on the underside near the edge, appearing as 0 and 1. No other maker marks, logos, or brands are visible on the object.
