1962 US Roosevelt Dime 90% Silver Proof Coin - A 1962 US Roosevelt silver dime, minted at Philadelphia. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features the left-facing portrait of Franklin D. Roosevelt with the inscriptions LIBERTY along the left rim, IN GOD WE TRUST below the chin, and the date 1962 at the bottom right. The designer's initials JS are located below the neck truncation. The reverse features a central torch between an olive branch and an oak branch with the legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and ONE DIME. The coin is a proof striking, displaying mirror-like fields and frosted relief. It is secured in a white cardboard 2x2 flip within a clear plastic protective housing. The cardboard flip bears a handwritten note in purple ink reading 1962 $ and a scribbled-out mark that is not legible.
