A Pair of US Standing Liberty Silver Quarter Dollars - This pair of US Standing Liberty silver quarter dollars consists of two 90 percent silver coins. The obverse depicts Liberty standing between two pedestals, holding a shield and an olive branch. The inscription LIBERTY is visible at the top, and the motto IN GOD WE TRUST is present at the sides, though significantly obscured by wear. One specimen features a small impressed D mint mark on the lower left of the pedestal, indicating production at the Denver Mint, and a small impressed M to the right of the pedestal. The reverse design features an eagle in flight. The periphery includes the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and QUARTER DOLLAR, with the Latin motto E PLURIBUS VNUM positioned above the eagle. Both coins exhibit a heavy yellowish-brown patina and significant surface toning. The raised dates on the pedestals of both coins are completely worn away.
