A Pair of 1943 US Mercury Silver Dimes - A pair of United States 90% silver Mercury (Winged Liberty Head) dimes, both dated 1943. These coins were produced at the Philadelphia Mint, confirmed by the absence of a mint mark on the reverse. The obverse of each coin features the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date 1943. An impressed monogram consisting of the characters AW is visible behind the neck on the obverse. The reverse is inscribed UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DIME, and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM. The coins exhibit a silver-white color with peripheral circular toning ranging from light gold to dark gray at the rims. No measurements or weights are available as no ruler or scale is present in the photographs.
