1985 British Virgin Islands Sterling Silver Twenty Dollar Proof Coin - A sterling silver twenty dollar denomination proof coin issued for the British Virgin Islands and produced by The Franklin Mint. The coin is housed in a black textured cardboard presentation card printed with the text THE FRANKLIN MINT in white serif capital letters at both the top and bottom margins. The design features a seventeenth-century ship lantern set within a raised square frame, flanked by the vertical inscriptions TWENTY on the left and DOLLARS on the right. Below the frame are two stylized dolphins. A small, cursive f mint mark for The Franklin Mint is impressed at the lower right corner of the interior square design. The coin is struck with a proof finish characterized by frosted relief against mirrored fields.
