Rev Hon Canon Edward Lyttelton, Eton - Haileybury by Spy 1901 - This print was drawn by the British artist Sir Leslie Ward (Spy). Vanity Fair was subtitled A Weekly Show of Political, Social and Literary Wares and was founded by Thomas Gibson Bowles (who signed his images Jehu Junior) in 1868, who aimed to expose the contemporary vanities of Victorian society. The chromolithographs were produced by an international group of artists including Max Beerbohm (Max and Bulbo), Sir Leslie Ward (Spy and Drawl) and Carlo Pellegrini (Singe and Ape).
