A Hermès porcelain ashtray, commissioned as a gift from from Robert and Susan Sangster, circa 1982, in recognition of the achievements of Jockey Pat Eddery, commemorating the success of the racehorses Golden Fleece and Assert, decorated with a green spotted white jockey cap and a turquoise border, the centre inscribed ‘from Robert and Susan Sangster, 1982’, the printed in gilt GOLDEN FLEECE, NIJINSKY - EXOTIC TREAT, THE DERBY STAKES, EPSOM; ASSERT, BE MY GUEST - IRISH BIRD, PRIX DU JOCKEY CLUB, CHANTILLY, green suede covered base, 16 by 19cm; also a Pointer’s Collectors ‘The Thoroughbred Racing Decanter’, printed with scenes of horse racing, 24cm high (no contents) (2).
